To implement ISO 50001:2018 there are number of documents and records that are necessary as per standard to build a robust energy management system. With the revision of old standard, now standard has adopted some common term such as “Documented Information” in place of documents and records. However, it is still important to identify where there is a requirement of document and record. For that, standard uses term “Maintain documented information” for document requirement and “retain documented information” for record requirements.

Following is the list of the mandatory documents and records required to comply with requirements of ISO 50001:2018.
